He walked slowly, eyes never leaving the path before him. The air was cool against his face, for it constantly rushed up before him, deflecting off of the hard stone at his feet. The back of his calves burned ever so slightly, protesting in annoyance from his constant uphill climb. And it was not until he reached the peak of the stone figure that they stopped. His dark eyes shifted downwards, examining the area below.

The Valley of End. The site of many fierce and epic battles, and perhaps the site of his death….Perhaps.

Lifting his chin so as to get a better view of the opposing cliff, Itachi folded his arms over his chest. He sensed the charka of someone, but of who it was, he was uncertain. Judging by the levels, they were of a lower class than he. But then again, one could never be to certain.

Perhaps something interesting will happen after all…

Akamaru cowered deeper into Kiba's jacket, and that's when he knew; he wasn't going to get out of this without injury. If he ran, the Akatsuki would probably fallow. If he stayed, well.... He dind't know. There was something about the stranger.... Like he knew someone exactly like him; except smaller. Sasuke, perhaps? Impossible. Shifting his weight, Kiba stood silently, eyes never straying from the Akatsuki.[/ul][/size]

His eyes shifted, locking on to the figure before him. This was the source of the charka he had sensed? A genin? He lowered his arms, unfolding them in the process, allowing the very tips of his slender fingers to protrude from his large sleeves. His dark hair fell over most of the right half of his face, casting narrow shadows down the left. The genin had spotted him, there was no doubt about it.

Well…Isn’t this interesting.. he thought, a thin smirk spreading over his lips. The boy held a small, white pup in his arms. And form the looks of it, the creature was terrified. Interesting indeed.

And what is a Genin such as yourself doing all the way out here…? he said slowly, voice barely raising in his nonchalant tone.

Kiba shot back, tilting his head. 'I hope he hasn't found out about Houkou yet...' He pleaded, knowing that there was no use in escaping now. He could feel Akamaru trembling against his chest, peering out over his coat zipper.

His lips curled upwards in a mocking grin at the boy’s response. The boy had nerve, speaking to him in such a manner, especially when he would give nothing more than to end it. But then again, there was something different about this genin. His charka flow seemed to be different than the rest, but yet it was also so familiar…Could it be?

Well if it isn’t a Jinchuuriki…Things truly are getting interesting. He made two advancing steps, and shook his head. No, he wouldn’t let this one slip through his grasp. He would bring this one down, and prove to the others he didn’t need any help. Dark eyes narrowed to thin slits, beckoning ever so slightly to the boy.

[/i] Kiba thought, grinding his teeth. 'He knows about him. Not good.' He didn't know how he was going to get out of this one. Taking a step back, his heel went over the edge, sending a few stray pebbles falling into the river. He cast a glance over his shoulder, then whipped his head around, eyes narrowed onto the man.[/ul][/size]

((Oh! That would be fun!! *evil laugh*))

Once more he advanced in an interval of two steps. The boy seemed to be panicking now. Interesting. Perhaps this little quest would be easier than he had thought. Judging by the way things were going, it would.

A slow, bone chilling breeze brushed sideways against him, ruffling his hair and long cloak slightly. He took another step, dislodging a stone with his right foot in the process. How fitting. This jinchuuriki would meet his end in the valley of end. Oh yes. How perfect.

Kiba asked, his voice wavery, but firm. He knew what he was after, but the words slipped from his mouth. 'They're after you, Houkou! For all I know, they're going to extract you out of me, and that'll be the end of you and me!'


Kiba's last words echoed throught the darkness, the five flames flickering.

"Extract me, you say?"

A deep, thundering voice shattered the silence. The Five-Tails shifted, rumbling.

"Let us show this human our power; that we are to not weak. I know what these Akatsuki are capable of, and we can not be caught."

Houkou's sinister voice seeped into Kiba's vocals, making his host throw out the same words, in the exact haunting, thundering tone. Kiba closed his eyes, knowing what the demon was about to perform. It was something that he hadn't ever seen before, but the Five-Tails had kept talking about it. The First Stage Demon Form.
Kiba's nails grew out into long claws, and he fell down onto all fours. His canine teeth extended down, curving at the end. Then his eyes shot open; they were a bloodied maroon. Houkou's eyes took Kiba's place, and they narrowed upon the Akatsuki.

"I have heard stories of you Akatsuki; and I have heard that anyone who enters that God-forsaken place never returns."

Kiba smirked, baring his long fangs. Akamaru lept out of the silver jacket, standing beside Kiba, growling. This man's chakra levels were beyond anyone he had ever seen, and that wasn't good. He curled his lips back, revealing his needle-like fangs.

Itachi chuckled, shaking his head slightly as the boy stated his question. Oh yes, this boy truly was a fool.

Well, I suspect even a fool like yourself should be able to figure that out.

His arms lowered, allowing his hands to be fully exposed to the outside air. Black nail polish shone dully in the dim sunlight. Narrow lips curled upwards in a mocking grin behind his Akatsuki cloak. So the boy was preparing to fight now. Fair enough, he could handle it well enough.

Well then someone informed you well enough, and you’re about to join those who lie in the keep...

Houkou's sinister voice hung in the air, a smirk spread on his lips.[/ul][/size]

His fingers flexed, both adjusting to the cool outside air, and preparing to do whatever they had to. It was true, he hadn't expected to boy to change forms this quickly. But he wasn't going to let that stop him. Failure was most definately not an option here. He couldn't afford to lose this time around.

Dark orbs closed momentarily. And behind the pale lids, they rotated counter-clockwise, shifting quickly to the red of the sharingan. So the boy had a few tricks up his sleeve? Fine, so did he.

Oh, is that so?

His words slid through the nearly frozen air like a snake in the grass.

He mumbled, and with a swift movement, his jaws parted, shooting a thin, narrow ice dart, electricity surging through it. Hardly even a second after the main dart was hissing through the air, thousands of electrified ice needles shot out like a machine gun.[/ul][/size]

Now blood red eyes widened, surprised at the intensity of the boy’s attack. This was Houkou alright, the elemental Bijuu. And other than Kyuubi, one of the most feared bijuu, due to his intense rage and power.

Time seemed to pass all to slowly as the first ice dart sailed towards him. Seconds slowed to what felt like minutes. Hours even, and the dart continued to rotate slowly through the air in his direction. Then more came towards him.

Beneath his dark cloak, his legs bent at the knee as he prepared to jump, and in the process, dodge the boy’s attacks. As his feet left the ground, time seemed to catch up with him once more, and the darts soared inches beneath his feet. Had his reaction time really gotten that slow? No, it couldn’t have... He felt his feet make contact with the nearest tree branch, and his hair fell over his eyes. Crimson orbs shifted, staring down at the boy.

Well then you’re going to have to work a lot harder than this if you want to win.

Houkou snickered, having Kiba take a step back. His paw was half on the cliff, and a broad smirk danced across his maw.

"Catch me if you can."

As the haunting tone hung in the fridged air, Kiba lept backwards, falling off the cliff. The wind whipped his black fur as the hellhound tumbled, twisting, towards the lake in which the waterfall fell into. Akamaru yipped, vanishing into the nearby forest.[/ul][/size]
