Ya know, I don't even know what it means. I'm guessing it means something like 'cool'. Somethin' or other. I honestly don't know... Ask KyuubiYeah. She uses it all the time. Seriously. Almost every sentence. It's quite funny, actually. ;D
So, yeah. Ask KyuubiYeah. I'm definatly sure that she knows.

None of you watch the japanese anime? D;
Well, if you watch the english dub, I think he says "Believe it!" So technically, its the japanese version of that (Slightly), dattebayo.

Actually, 'Dattebayo' translates to gibberish. It's just a quirky little thing Naruto puts at the end of his sentences. Or sometimes he'll add 'ttebayo to the end of the last word of a sentence. Sort of that horrid, annoying beyond belief 'Beleive It!' Only, you know, not so horribly impossible to ignore.

Yeah, I agree with Zetsu. It is basically gibberish, though it can subsitute for cursing in some cases. (I've seen it done.)
(reason 1 why i really don't like english dubbs..weird phrases...)The whole "Believe it!" catch phrase in the English dubb is only there because it was the closest thing to the mouth movements of "dattebayo!" That's about all I have to say.
