Two cold eyes darted over to her team mate. Personally she, too, did not like being on a team, but Tsuki was wavering on her last nerve. The Mist Genin stood in silence, balanced on a thick branch of one of the many trees. Anger and fustration pumped through her veins. Though she said nothing to her team mate, her annoyed look said it all. Eyebrows slanted down, casting a dark shadow around her pale eyes. Her upper lip quivered slightly, as if she was about to say something, but then decided against it.
With a small snear, Aori turned her attention from Tsuki. Eyes firmly focused on the dancing light on the tree leaves. It was true that the team needed to work together, but she had had enough. Chin tilted back to Tsuki, eyeing over the ebony haired Genin. Slowly she slipped her right hand into her pouch, pinning two kunais between her index and middle fingers. A smirk tugged at the corner of her lips, as she slowly closed her eyes. Taking Over Me - Evanescence

Her eyes were narrowed to thin slits, only the slightest traces of their unusual violet color showing from beneath half closed eyelids. Her lips were curved downwards in a thin scowl, and her brow was creased with her expression. Ebon tresses of hair danced before her face with the occasional gust of wind, held in place only by her silver ribbon. The obi about her waist ruffled almost silently behind her. Standing on a nearby tree, was her team mate. One who was supposed to be her ‘friend’ her ‘companion.’ But she wasn’t the type to agree with this. And from the looks of it, Aori wasn’t either.
Tsuki slid her right foot to the right slightly, and placed a hand on her hip. Tsk. It’s a pity it came to this… she thought. Her pinky rested on her pouch, which was filled with kunai. Violet orbs watched the opposing girl reach into her own pouch, withdrawing with two kunai in hand. So, it was about to begin.
A pale hand slipped into her pouch, retrieving a pair of kunai of her own. She tossed one to her left hand, keeping the other in her right. Stray beams of sunlight reflected off of her blades, and danced across her face. The silence between the two was beginning to thicken….

Eyes flashed open, darting down to the glint of light off of her opponent's kunais. Here it goes, Aori thought to herself, eyes focused on the kunais. The Mist Genin stood in silence, her left hand resting gently against the tree's rough trunk. Her second hand held firmly on to the kunias, waiting for the right moment to strike.
The wind was cooling, yet unsettling. The air seemed too calm for what was about to take place. Although there are only two times of silence during a storm, before and after. So this was to be the Silence Before the Storm.
Aori slowly and carefully looked around at her surroundings, noting everything. From the smallest twig to the piles of leaves. Step one to her was to memorize her battle arena, to become one with it. This helped during a fight, instead of trying to balance the fight and terrain, she only had to focus on her opponent.
With a flick of her right wrist, Aori sent one of the two kunais sailing through the air. The force behind the throw was not enough to penetrate the bark of a tree, let alone be a deadly strike. No, full out attacks was not her style. This was merely an attack to draw blood, then the fun would begin.
Eyes watched the kunai sail, keeping in mind that her opponent now held two and she only had one in hand. Besides the one in her hand, there was another six in her pouch along with five throwing stars but they served a different purpose.Head Strong - Trapt

((sorry, low muse. ><))
Tsuki threw herself downwards, cursing silently under her breath at how long it had taken her to react. The kunai sailed inches above her head, missing her by a small margin. Violet eyes opened wide, as she stared harshly at her team mate. She flipped the kunai in her right hand over once, preparing to strike. So it had finally begun. Fine...
She swiped diagonally outwards with her right arm, launching the kunai from her grasp as soon as it was pointing directly out from her. Her eyes followed it, watching it move. Each rotation...Each slight twist as a burst of wind tugged curiously at it. The faint whistling the eye on the back produced. It was almost as if everything were moving in slow motion....Until her katana tapped gently against her cheek. Yes.... She had forgotten about the blade she had stapped to her back moments before leaving her home. A wry smirk flashed across the Mist Nin's lips.
Pushing off of the thick tree branch with both her hands and her feet, Tsuki jumped to the next level of boughs. Already her mind was reeling. How was Aori going to attack next? Would she use the genjutsu she so often favored? Or would this time be different? Only observations could reveal this, and luckily, that was what Tsuki preferred to do...
((Gah. My muse and inspiration has gone kapoof! Sorry...This is kinda weak...))

Aori stood still, watching the kunai draw closer with every passing moment. Ideas went realing through her head, thinking of her next move. A: Use her second kunai to deflect Tsuki's. B: Dodge the attack. Slowly a faint smirk tugged at her lips, planning the next move.
With the opposing kunai only feet away Aori bent her knees, lowering her center of gravity. Fingers tightened around her own kunai, and then. Using the force built up in her legs, Aori, in a surprisingly fluid movement, kicked off from the branch. Right hand lifted quickly, placing the kunai between her teeth as she slowly began to bend backwards. Focusing chakra in her hands rather than her feet, Aori held on to the tree's trunk. Legs followed the body's movement, flipping over to the tree's trunk. With the main chakra focus once again in her feet, Aori was knelt on the side of the trunk.
Eyes were firmly focused on Tsuki, narrowing into a glare. Sight was a plus to both sides, but the Mist Genin knew her strength would be to rid her opponent of sight. Hands brought themselves up in front of her face. Quickly shifting through the most remembered hand signs.
"Verse of Black Darkness Skill," Aori muttered, eyes pinned closed as she uttered the name of her Jutsu.

Violet orbs, including her nearly blind left eye, darted from side to side as she watched Aori move. The girl was fast, that much she would admit. But were her fighting skills notable? They had never really fought each other like this before. There had always been rules and restrictions…But now, they were free to go all out. They could kill each other even- if they decided to do so. There were no rules…
Her katana hilt brushed against her cheek, bringing her out of her thoughts abruptly. She had almost forgotten about the blade- she had only recently strapped it too her back. A thin smile spread over her lips. Would Aori be able to defend herself against such a weapon? Only time would tell.
From the corner of her eye, Tsuki caught sight of her fellow Mist Nin’s hands moving at a high speed, forming several seals as well. So they were going to shift to jutsu’s now. She looked down, searching for the branch she had left moments before hand. Her ebon hair fell in thick locks around her face and cheeks in the process. Dropping to one knee, she clapped her hands together, weaving several seals of her own counter jutsu….

Pale eyes slowly opened, adjusting to the growing darkness. The black seemed to creap along the ground, twisting and twirling up the tree she was perched on. Casting into a deep shadow, darker than shadows a endless void of black. Chin tilted down, glancing at the growing black mesh and consume the tree's trunk and decend on to the branches. Soon everything would just be a black hole, no distinction between night and day, light and dark, just black.
Aori looked up at her opponent, brow titlting downwards seeing the opposing Mist Genin preforming hands signs. Trying to counter act her own jutsu. The Black Verse would take mintues to completely form, and Aori could not let Tsuki's jutsu work.
Lips parted, dropping her kunai back into her hand. She needed speed if she was to stop the counter jutsu. Though she was not fast enough to stop Tsuki physically, kunais would have to work. Eyes darted over to a kunai embedded in the tree next to her own. The kunai that she had dodged, a slow grin showed on her face. Right hand, holding her kunai, slipped back into her pouch. Fiddleing quickly, she brought the kunai back out. A single silver thread was attached to the kunai, and around her middle finger.
With a flick of the wrist, the kunai was sent spirling through the air. Eyes were locked on the kunai as it sailed towards the second kunai. Once it had passed over the second kunai's handle, Aori jerked her hand down. Her kunai's wire rubbed against the handle, spinning it quickly around the second kunai's handle. Now both kunais were attached by the wire.
Her grin grew, pulling on the wire, sending both kunais flying back at herself. The pair flew passed her head, being snatched by her hand. Now she had two kunais instead of one, slightly better odds. Bringing her arm across herself, she released the kunais again. The wire untwirling off of the one's handle, letting it fly at a separate course while the other was still tied to the wire.

((Gah. I am still running low on inspiration… -_-‘ But this will be fun with the Bijuu!!!! =^.^=))
Violet eyes darted within her skull, searching the area around her. It was beginning to grow dark…Too dark. Her hands stopped moving immediately, why was everything getting so dark? Her mind began to race, thoughts spinning about her head at an intense rate. Visions came and passed. Plans formed then faded. Darkness. She hated it.
Holding her breath, she came to a conclusion. Aori. Her jutsu must have caused this unexplainable darkness. Tsuki’s eyes flashed with a newly found hatred as she watched the opposing Mist nin retrieve her kunai’s. The girl was playing with her…
A pale hand flipped to her katana hilt as if to check if the weapon was still there. With the gathering dark, it was hard to tell. Her fingertips brushed the familiar bound surface of the blade, and the girl almost sighed out of relief. Tugging hard on the blade, she ripped it from it’s sheath, and the hollow sound of metal scrapping against the sheath echoed in the air. Bringing her right arm down, Tsuki held the blade inches before her face, looking over the thin blade at her enemy….It was only a matter of seconds.
Do it…Don’t be afraid…Let me out.
A low rumble filled her head, almost making Tsuki jump. Raijuu. The had conversed before, but he hand never intruded on her like this. Never before had this happened…
Two kunais began their flight towards her. They would strike soon…
Unleash me…
His howling voice filled her head once more.
Seconds seemed to pass like hours, slowly and uncomfortably. The kunais drew dangerously close, yet the girl stood motionless…
((This post doesn't flow too well...Oh well....Stupid low muse...))

What is she waiting for? Aori quizzed herself, watching her opponent closely. Why was she not moving, the longer she waited the harder it would be to dodge the closing kunais. Something was wrong. Tsuki acted, well did not act, just stood there. Even one that relies on mind games and illusions, this made Aori uneasy. Is she planning a counter attack at the last mintue? It started, question realing through her head.
No, I mustn't lose focus, She ordered herself, shaking her head to rid herself of useless thoughts. Right now the main and only focus was the fight.
Enough of your games, end it now. Hissed a low and raspy voice from somewhere behind her.
Eyes flashed wide, wondering who had spoke. Realizing exactly who it was, Aori settled. The twin-tail demon finally caught up with her, it had taken longer than Aori expected. No, I will fight by my rules. Aori growled back at the demon.
A chuckle sounded from deep within her mind. The cat was laughing at her. Very well then, but I believe you'll need me sooner than you think. He hissed. For a breif second Aori saw the demon's image flash behind her eyes. His slender frame pacing back and forth, twin-tails flicking wildly, wings ruffling in annoyance.

((gah....low muse suks))
Tsuki shook her head, forcing her eyes shut. Raijuu's slender, weasel like form padded towards her in her thoughts. His black masked face glared down at her, gold eyes narrowing to thin lines. His six tails flicked in annoyance behind him.
Stay out of this... She thought angrily to the demon. He cackled in response.
You think you can do this on your own? You're nothing but a weakling...
Violet eyes flicked open, bringing her back to reality. The kunai were inches before her, spiraling closer with every slowly passing second. Pale fingers closed slowly around her katana hilt as she brought it before her, slashing outwards. The hollow sound of metal clashing rang through the air. Her eyes flicked over to Aori. This was getting difficult..

Pale eyes narrowed on Tsuki. Angered she deflected her kunais so easily, as if they were merely flies. She could not let this little step back ruin her train of thought. This weapon Tsuki carried was going to cause problems, but her tactics remained the same. Close quarter fighting was not her strength, so that weapon of Tsuki's would cause little pain. Although her opponent was skilled with it, and that could be a problem.
With a sudden jerk of her arm, Aori brought her kunai sailing back to her. She had a limited supply of weapons, and now that she was facing Tsuki and her kanata she would need everyone of them. Fingers gripped around the kunai, flicking it upwards into a branch above herself. The kunai embedded itself deep in the softened wood.
The Black Verse had completely engulfed the trees around the two. Now it crept along the ground, ascending into the closer trees. Aori's tree was almost black, her kunai had vanished into the darkness. Even though the Black Verse had not formed entirely, she could still use it to her advantage.
Kicking off from the tree's trunk, and gripping the thin silver wire with both hands Aori sent herself flying overhead. The kunai wiggled, creaking inside the tree loosing do to the strain on the wire. A soft thump sounded from deep within the blackness. Aori landed on her branch, and now stood gazing through the darkness at Tsuki. How would her opponent fair now?
This is a serious fight, enough fooling around. You are not training back in the academy anymore. Hissed the voice, snarling and growling at his host's ignorance. And the Hero Will Drown - Story of the Year

A smirk spread over Tsuki’s lips in relief that she had successfully deflected Aori’s attacks. Her jet black hair fell in loose locks over her eyes were tresses didn’t reach the ponytail. Her katana shimmered in a dying beam of light, for Aori’s jutsu seemed to have taken it’s hold.
Her tree was now a putrid shade of black, matching the hue of her hair perfectly. Even the silver of her obi seemed to be fading to a dull and dark grey. So this was her team mate’s infamous Black Verse Jutsu. She had never been on the receiving end of the jutsu before, though she had seen it used before. Now the only problem was keeping tack of her surroundings and knowing were it was safe to move….Violet eyes flashed as she glanced around herself. The area had grown pitch black by now. It was too late for examining her surroundings.
Sometimes your stupidity surprises me…You should have learned your surroundings right away..
Raijuu’s voice echoed throughout her skull in an annoyed tone. She could faintly hear the sound his claws scraping against the floor with each of his movements. The screeching sound sent shivers down her spine.

Slowly the pale eyes closed, canceling out all outside interference. The remaining light casting down on the dimming surroundings was distracting. She made sure to note her surroundings before casting the Black Verse. Now she could clearly visualize her surroundings behind the cover of her eyelids. Everything seemed so bright, as if the Black Verse had never been. Though one important thing was missing, her opponent. Aori would have to rely on her ears and other senses from here on out.
Nothing told her that the other Mist ninja had moved from her spot, and that was what she was banking on. Hands slipped down into her pouch, withdrawing four of her five throwing stars. Two pinned betweens fingers of both hands. Arms crossed making an X in front of her face. The kunai was firmly pinned between her teeth. All five of the ninja's weapons were linked by silver wires.
Now it was time to throw her opponent off guard. Make her confused and an easier target. Arms flared out like a great bird opening his wings. Throwing stars were sent in different directions, whizzing through the black air. Eyes pinned shut, visualizing the surrounding trees down to the last leaf. Once she felt the stars were past the target branches on either side, using the length of wire in her hand as measurement, she lanked downwards. The wire tugged as the stars looped over the branches, begining to turn down to her opponent.
Seeing as the wire was too short to allow the stars to reach, Aori dropped the kunai from her teeth. Now it dangled only with two inches of wire at the moment. To gain momentum, she began making a windmill affect with the kunai. Spinning it faster and faster until her released it, sending it flying at the first set of stars' wires.
Tension left her right hand as the wire was cut by her kunai, letting the stars continue their path. Now with a free hand, she grabbed the wire to the kunai. Tugging sharply at the wire, the kunai was wrentched from its course. It whizzed flying backwards and towards the next set of wires. Again the tension was released and the stars continued to fly.
You have had your fun, now release me so I can finish it Snarled the twin tail, tails flicking with utter anoyance.

((It’s okay. My posts have been sorta crummy as of late, so it’s fine. Lol this one is kinda long…))
Her eyes flashed, darting from side to side in an attempt to figure out what was going on. Her pale fingers flexed on her katana hilt, attempting to keep calm in her current situation. Aori was an expert at Genjutsu, and she was more of a taijutsu based fighter. They two clashed, causing quite a problem. She was trapped. Trapped in a veil of darkness. And she was afraid. Afraid to move. Afraid that the darkness would forever consume her. She was as good deaf in her fear…. Deaf, and blind…
Unleash me you idiot! Once more the six tailed bijuu’s words echoed through her thoughts. Tsuki shook her head.
No, this is my fight. Stay out of this. Raijuu laughed.
You think you can fight without me?
I can do this without you!
Really? Then I suggest you block the shruiken that girl just threw at you…Or else you wont get a chance to fight again.
Tsuki’s eyes widened. When had Aori thrown shruiken at her? The girl spun on her feet, slashing outwards with her katana. She felt the blade make contact with two, maybe tree other objects. Her breath came in short gulps. That couldn’t have been all Aori threw…It just couldn’t have…
A searing pain burst in her right cheek, and the sound of an object embedding itself in the tree trunk behind her filled the air for a brief moment. Her eyes jammed shut in an attempt to block out the pain. Something hot and sticky ran down her cheek…Blood.
See? You really can’t do anything without me…So just unleash me and let me have some fun. This time Raijuu didn’t sound like he would take any excuses. Tsuki would either have to bend to his will, or he would force her to let him free- either was would be painful…
Alright…I’ll do it.
Tsuki released her left hand from her katana hilt, allowing her right hand to fall to her side, and the katana with it- its shining tip now touching the tree trunk beneath her feet. She lowered her head, violet eyes slowly closing in the process. Her ebon hair cascaded over her shoulder…
She could see the bijuu within her, pacing back and forth behind the bars that caged him, his six tails billowing out behind him impatiently- though his lips were curled upwards in a toothy grin. She was standing before the bars, knee deep in a clear, blue tinted liquid. Her hands raised before her face, and she clapped them together. The moment her palms touched, the seals on the bars tore apart, and the bars dissolved, allowing Raijuu to take over. He took two steps towards her, great paws thudding as they struck the ground, water splashing up onto his underside, then nothing…
((wow...That was interesting..I suppose my muse is finally back! *dances* may be a little choppy...))

Ears listened carefully, catching every sound. From a falling leaf to the flying birds. Her own breathing slowed so not to distract her from the sounds she needed to focus on. Clashing. Metal on metal. So Tsuki had blocked some of her throwing stars. Two by the sound of things, that left two more. It was highly unlikely that her opponent would be able to block both attacks, at least she hoped not.
A soft thunk reached her ears. She missed, either that or the unseen ninja had dodged the second wave. Ears strained, waiting to hear a second thunk. Nothing, no other sound reached her straining auds. Maybe there was a hit at last. One out of the four throwing stars made it to their target. Odds that Aori did not like.
Fists clenched at the large rate of failure in the last attack. It could of been just luck, but even so she was now down four weapons. It was too soon to launch another assault. Something else caught her attention. Not a scent, not a feeling, nor any sound. It was a serge, a serge in her opponent's chakra.
What the? Aori questioned herself. A serge this strong was not normal for a Genin, let alone a Jounin. It seemed oddly familiar, yet different in a way. The chakra was powerful, there was no denying that fact. But how did Tsuki produce such a serge, surely Aori did not underestimate her opponent by this scale.
Raijuu... Snarled the twin-tail, anger rising in the cat's voice.
Raijuu? Aori asked, not directing her question at Nekomata but just quizzing the air. Raijuu, that was the six tailed Bijuu. The cat seemed quite angered with this find, but it did explain the sudden serge. So, like herself, Tsuki was burdened with a demon. Things might heat up now that she was facing the Six Tailed Weasel, reguardless of his present form. And it might come down to Aori using Nekomata's power to fet her through the fight. This was something she rarely did because of the strain on herself and the after affects of releasing a demon.
Move! Ordered the cat suddenly, taking the Mist Genin by surprise.
Aori turned, running swiftly along the narrowing branch. The Bijuu may already know where she was even though his host did not. There was no way to tell the extent of her new opponent's power, but now she needed to find a new post. Kicking off from the branch, she reached up grabbing a branch above her. Air rushed pass her face, cooling her off after the paniced thoughts. The air was chilling against her sweat covered forhead, but refreshing.
Now on a new branch, she had time to think plan a new form of attack. Though sensing the demon's chakra aided her in following her opponent's movements, it still caused problems. This may only be the tip of the ice berg, time will only tell. One Good Reason - Celldwelder
